PHOTOGRAPHY: ROOM 101 >> ART PHOTOGRAPHY MASTERCLASS Led by Kim Fielding

TUES Evenings: 7pm - 9pm starting 7th Feb till mid April 2012 @ tactileBOSCH / Andrews Rd / Llandaff North / Cardiff CF14 2JP

The idea of the course is to take your basic camera skills and expand notions of creative image making pushing basic camera use into the exciting, sometimes intimidating arena of ‘fine art’ photography. Learn how to express creative ideas, disseminate imagery, re-style environments and lighting on a weekly basis to create fresh images each week, direct models ‘through the lens’. Using digital media in a professional photography studio + substantial art space.

Photograph both live + inanimate objects with one-on-one help as needed in a unique setting to create Fine Art Imagery.

tactileBOSCH is located in a wickedly disheveled / atmospheric 200yr old former Victorian Laundry near Haley Park.

Studio offers substantial natural light as well as dark spaces for the more abstract techniques: painting with light / multiple exposures / film noir speed animation etc. We experiment with all sorts of ideas concepts, techniques, lighting, costumes & props.

Situated next to an extensive park area [with bowling green] and a stones throw from the Taff Trail... Hayley Park offers easy access to ‘natural’ landscapes hence we are not tied to an indoor space for the class. During the spring we became Edwardians promenading in a variety of locations and costumes such as the Bishops Steps / Penarth Pier / Roath Park Lake and Cardiff City Centre….
